Kaplan University, a leading provider of online post-secondary education, kicks off its fourth Kaplan University Speakers Series webinar with Sonia Alleyne, editorial director and career expert for Black Enterprise magazine. The webinar, titled “Navigate Your Career Through Turbulent Times,” will provide Kaplan University students, alumni and the general public with advice on how to cultivate mentor/mentee relationships, understand the new economic climate, navigate corporate politics and manage work environments.

 

WHO:

Alleyne joined Black Enterprise in 2001 and serves as the Editorial Director for Careers and Lifestyles for the magazine, which boasts more than four million readers. She’s interviewed high-profile and influential leaders such as Oprah Winfrey and Lisa P. Jackson, Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She is the co-author of Good is Not Enough: And Other Unwritten Rules for Minority Professionals (Penguin Group, 2008) and has appeared on Fox’s Good Day New York, NBC’s Weekend Today, iVillage Live, Fox Business Report and CNN.

 
The webinar, which is free and open to the public, will be moderated by Betty Vandenbosch, Ph.D., Dean of Kaplan University’s School of Business and Management.
